This is part of the By-laws of the JCA:
1. INTRODUCTIONThe Goddard Space Flight Center (Goddard) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (the University) share common interests in the area of Astrophysics, in addition to student education. In furtherance thereof, the two institutions have developed a scientific staff and facilities which are involved in all facets of the acquisition and analysis of data, including mission support, research, and publication of scientific results. Each institution believes that the establishment of a formal relationship enhances their ability to attract qualified and recognized researchers to participate in activities of common interest. |
