Charter of the Joint Center for Astrophysics

This is part of the Charter of the JCA:

1. INTRODUCTION

Goddard Space Flight Center (Goddard) and the University of Maryland Baltimore County (the University) share common interests in the areas of astrophhysics. Each believes that the establishment of a more formal relationship will enhance their abilities to continue these activities through attraction of qualified through attraction of qualified and recognized researchers and the identification, development and implementation of research and instruction of mutual benefit.

Therefore, this Agreement is established betweeen Goddard and the University for a Joint Center for Astrophysics (JCA) to provide a basis for collaborative research and student education.

The wording is as in the signed, official Charter except all links and all wording in italic red which provide additional information, not necessarily approved by the JCA board.
