Overview:
This course is a continuation of PHYS111, and intended primarily for students in psychology, biology & health-related sciences. The major topics covered include the basics of

  • Electricity & Magnetism,
  • Light & Optics,
  • 20th Century Physics.
(more details). If time (& grades) allow, a lecture/discussion on the potential of the latest ideas in "21st Century Physics" will be presented. The formal instruction consists of three 50min lectures, and a 2hr laboratory period per week.

A number of WWW-based aides & summaries will be available, such as a lecture summary, a review summary, and several tips & techniques. This course will also make use of some of the facilities provided by Blackboard.
