Overview

Monitoring campaign in the UV & X-rays (HST, FUSE, Chandra, RXTE) with the primary goal of determining the best possible constraints on the UV & X-ray absorption lines seen in this source, and their response to changes in the photoionizing continuum.

Observing Schedule

Chandra 5 observations (each 170 ks) using HETGS
RXTE 1ks observation every 64 orbits throughout AO-6, plus intensive monitoring at 1ks every 2 orbits for 3 weeks.
FUSE 5 observations
HST 17 pointings, each of 2 orbits, using STIS
Grd-based opt as possible
The orginal plan was to have the Chandra observations performed simultaneous with FUSE & HST observations, with 3 of the Chandra observations also during the intensive RXTE monitoring.
