Ooops I've managed to delete most/all the items that
were on these pages
- sometime soon I'll try and get them back...
Various Atomic Data used in the study of Photoionized Gas
-
Atomic Data for Astrophysics
An extremely rich resource maintained by
Dima Verner,
used within
CLOUDY
and many other
Photoionization Codes.
The atomic data is supplied in the form of references to the
origin work, ASCII tables and/or Fortran subroutines.
Topics covered include
Energy levels, Photon energies & transition probabilities,
Photoionization Cross-sections,
Recombination rates & coefficients,
Collisional excitation & ionization
rates & coefficients,
Autoionization rates & coefficients,
Charge transfer rates & coefficients,
Auger probabilities.
Furthermore under each topic a number of links to other
sources of information are also supplied
(for example covering
Stark broadening effects &
Opacities).
See also the many other sources of appropriate information
under the
"Energy levels, wavelengths, transition probabilities"
link.
-
NIST
Physical Reference Data
Series of large databases supllied by
the USA's National Institute of Standard and Technology
covering many areas of the physical sciences.
The Atomic
Spectroscopic Data (Version 2 interface) is the most useful for PIGLovers
as it contains the "official" ("critically evaluated")
values for Energy Levels and
various Transition Parameters for a huge number of
ions accessible via a WWW form interface. However some crucial ions
(eg H-like species) are missing from the database.
-
Atomic Line List
Constructed & maintained by Peter van Hoof based on
energy levels from the NIST database.
Besides line energies (actually wavelengths)
various Transition Parameters for a huge number of
ions are
accesible via WWW form interface (which can even provide the output in
LaTeX format).
-
The Opacity Project
International collaboration to generate and provide atomic data for a range of
astrophysical applications. Contents include
Energy levels, Oscillator Strengths &
Photoionization Cross Sections.
WWW access provided via the
TOPbase interface
at the HEASARC.
(see also the
Iron Project (TIPbase)).
-
The CHIANTI Database
International collaboration
to provide both atomic data & software for astrophysical applications.
Data holding include
Energy Levels, Oscillator Strengths, &
Collision Strengths
WWW Access via NRL (and elsewhere).
-
The Plasma Gate
Links to a v.large number of online databases hosted by
The Weizmann Institute of Science, maintained by Yuri Ralchenko.
Other Useful Compilations etc
K-edge Energies
Oscillator Strengths for H-like Ions
Lyman-alpha Energies for various Ions
First Line in He-like Series
First Line in Li-like Series
