Research is underway within the
Joint Center for Astrophysics
at UMBC studying the extended emission
around Seyfert Galaxies. This is being performed by
Jianning Zeng
as part of her PhD project
[PHYS 899] using data collected by the CXO (& later) XMM satelites. The X-ray results are being compared to observations in other wavebands, and to theoretical
models for emission by the gas in the circumnuclear environment.
