While at GSFC her main project support role has been for ROSAT, providing Guest Observer support; PSPC instrument calibration support; regular ROSAT status reports by email and technical support for the ROSAT proposal reviews. Dr. Turner supported the GSFC Broad Band X-ray Telescope (BBXRT) mission as timeline planner when it flew as part of the ASTRO-1 shuttle mission STS-35.
Dr. Turner's research interests are based around the study of active galactic nuclei (AGN), this has entailed analysis of data from a large variety of X-ray instruments including EXOSAT; Einstein; Ginga, ROSAT, BBXRT and ASCA. Current work includes a Chandra observation of NGC 3516 and an XMM observation of NGC 4507. Member of the Chandra Users Committee since July 1998. Dr. Turner and Dr. Nandra have constructed a large archive database of reduced spectra, images and light curves of ASCA observations of AGN. A web-based browser and ftp allow access to the data products. For more information see
